On Thursday, May 23rd, the scholars of Universal Institute Charter School had the pleasure of participating in a Virtual Career Fair w/Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel, undefeated Light Heavyweight Boxer Atis Oberlton, Chick Fil-A Restaurant owner Sereena Quick and former UICS employee & NBA Trainer Ellis Gindraw. Each speaker addressed student scholars in grades k – 8 about their life experience, rode traveled to get to their respective professions and addressed questions.
Thank you to Principal Williams and his fine staff for once again organizing an excellent career day. We extend a heartfelt thank you to Commissioner Bethel for sharing his personal story of overcoming obstacles to become the Police Commissioner of the city of Philadelphia.
